Blood tests can be performed during an urgent care visit when clinically required.
The i-STAT point-of-care testing machine provides rapid results for some emergency tests. These results help your healthcare team assess your condition and make decisions about your treatment.
We will let you know when your results are available.
If your doctor needs to discuss your results with you, we will contact you to arrange a follow up appointment. If you do not hear from us, no further follow up with Omeo District Health is usually needed.
You may receive a text message to your registered mobile number confirming your results have been reviewed. Please ensure your contact details are up to date.
If you would like to discuss your results with your GP, you can book an appointment online via our appointments page or by calling our reception team on (03) 5159 0140.
If you have chosen to have your health information uploaded to My Health Record, your results may also be available there.
MyMedicare is a voluntary patient registration model. It aims to formalise the relationship between patients, their general practice, general practitioner (GP) and primary care teams. To find out more information please visit their website.
