Five-Star Rating for Aged Care Excellence

Lewington House, our residential aged care home in Omeo, has achieved a five out of five star rating from the Department of Health, Disability and Ageing in October 2026. The result builds on last year’s strong performance. It covers resident experience, compliance, staffing and quality of care.

The Bairnsdale Advertiser visited to find out what makes the difference. They spoke with our team and with 89-year-old resident Margaret Betts, a former horsewoman who once tamed a wild brumby. Margaret shares why Omeo is the only place she wants to call home.
